TINY BATHROOMS...

Who said tiny bathrooms can't have big design? This is our tiny bathroom that I recently made over. It is a half bath located off of the kitchen. I painted it a neutral color and found white and mocha colored towels and area rug to give it some pizazz. We added a white shelf above the toilet and have wooden accents such as candles, signs and picture frames.

Having 3 girls I know that as they are growing and finding a way to feel comfortable in their own skin they will hit points in their life where they may doubt their beauty. I purposely hung inspirational signs so that they can be reminded of how beautiful they really are.
As a teenager I remember standing in my childhood bathroom staring at myself in the mirror. In the late 80's early 90's mirrored walls were the in thing when it came to interior design. My bathroom had floor to ceiling mirrors everywhere you turned. I remember going through puberty having pimples on my face and braces on my teeth feeling ugly and self conscious about how I looked. Having mirrors everywhere I turned they served as a constant reminder of how unattractive I felt both inside and out.

When my girls look in the mirror I want them to feel the way I feel whenever I look at them. I want them to know that they are beautiful and to be proud of their flaws since that is what makes them unique. My hope is that the signs I have hung serve as reminders of how beautiful they are and that beauty comes from the inside out. A small space that they use daily may just be the key they need to unlock the idea of how valuable and perfect they truly are.
